A social enterprise

Practical self-compassion for the people who need it most.

We don't teach self-compassion as theory. We build each programme around the people in the room — their real struggles — and deliver it so it actually lands.

What we do

We make self-compassion practical.

H Project designs and delivers applied self-compassion programmes for the communities that carry the heaviest loads.

Rather than abstract theory, every programme is shaped around a specific group and the pains they actually live with — then taught through warm, relatable practices people can carry into everyday life.

The result is self-compassion that doesn't just make sense in the room, but stays useful long after we've left it.

Our edge

Built around real pain, not a generic syllabus.

What sets our programmes apart is how closely they're shaped to the people they're for.

1

Built around real pain

Each programme starts from a community's lived struggles — not a one-size-fits-all curriculum.

2

Applied, not theoretical

Relatable techniques people can use the same day, rather than concepts to memorise.

3

Visualization over discussion

Many people feel shy in groups, so we lead with gentle guided visualization instead of putting anyone on the spot.

4

Made to land

Every session is delivered so the practice is felt, remembered, and genuinely used.

Who we serve

Different communities. The same kindness.

Delivered

Seniors

Already delivered, with warm engagement — one group even broke into applause. A gentle introduction to treating yourself kindly as life changes.

Next

Caregivers

Our next focus: parents and carers of children with special needs, built around the realities they carry — caregiver fatigue, shame, isolation, and fear.

Ongoing

More communities

Self-compassion meets people differently depending on what they're facing. New programmes are tailored to each group we're invited to serve.

Our story

Born from a simple belief.

H Project began from a simple conviction: everyone deserves to meet themselves with kindness — especially the people the world too often overlooks.

It was founded by Roger Tan, author of Dear Inmates, who has written more than 30,000 letters to people in prison. That work taught him what self-compassion can do for those who feel least deserving of it — and H Project carries that belief to communities everywhere.
